The creation of the Archaeological Display Case is a wonderful story to tell, steeped in charm, hard work and satisfaction. It all began in December 2014, when the preliminary excavations carried out by the Superintendency for the foundations of Domus Aventino brought to light some important archaeological finds, including a series of mosaics from a wealthy Roman household.

A lengthy period of consultation was followed by the creation of the Archaeological Display Case. The work was done by a team who successfully reconciled common objectives: on the one hand, a fascinating piece of Ancient Roman history has been brought to light and returned to the community for public view; on the other, an already important real estate project has been further enhanced and make utterly unique.

This journey into the past is accompanied by remarkable multimedia devices, moving reconstructions by Paco Lanciano and narration by Piero Angela.
Further information regarding possible visits and booking options will be available soon.
